In planning for the reopening of our campus this fall, we are working closely with a task force of the following medical professionals:

Robert H. Cho, MD, FAAOS, Chief of Staff and Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Shriners for Children Medical Center in Pasadena, CA.  Dr. Cho is on the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, where he serves as the Communications Council Chair.  He is also heavily involved with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Scoliosis Research Society. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA, and trains orthopaedic surgery residents from Harbor UCLA and Cedars-Sinai.  He completed his medical school and residency training at Drexel University in Philadelphia and completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and scoliosis at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego.  

Scott W. Cohen, MD, FAAP, is a board certified pediatrician and the author of bestselling parenting guide Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide to Your Baby’s First Year.   The co-founder of Beverly Hills Pediatrics, where he currently practices,  Dr. Cohen is also an attending physician and a member of the teaching staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  Dr. Cohen is also the co-founder of Kids Doctors on Call (KidsDOC), the first pediatric-only telemedicine platform that connects families with pediatricians and top specialists via live video calls.  Dr. Cohen received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Cornell University. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. 

Adam I. Friedman, MD, is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  He is a partner at SCENT, a comprehensive ear, nose, and throat practice serving the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys. His practice is evenly divided between the medical and surgical care of adults and children.  Dr. Friedman completed both his medical school and residency at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine.

Christian Koch, MD, Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Medical Director of HRC Fertility, and Director of Anesthesia at the Pasadena Endoscopy Center.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he was valedictorian, and medical degree from UC Irvine.  He trained at UCLA, UC Irvine, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where he was Chief Fellow.  He has been involved in research involving pulse oximetry, intravenous acetaminophen, and has been the principal investigator in opioid studies for Trevena and Insys.  He has particularly enjoyed caring for disadvantaged children during medical missions in Mexico, Vietnam, and Ecuador.

Sharon Lee, MD, MS, is Assistant Chief of Emergency Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City. She graduated from Princeton University, University of Michigan, and the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and completed her residency at UC Irvine.

Eric Snyder, MD, MS, FACEP, is the Medical Director of Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Emergency Department, Chief Risk Officer of Pacific Healthworks, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Snyder is a California Medical Board Expert Reviewer, and prior member of the former Board of Directors, California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.  He received his BS from UCSD, his MS and MD from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at UCLA.

Chris M. Tang, MD, MS, is SVP Clinical Strategy at CareOnSite. Dr. Tang currently serves as a medical director for CareOnSite and a medical consultant to a number of Fortune 500 companies to optimize healthcare delivery systems and medical outcomes.  He has been actively involved in the medical and operational planning for critical infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the phased reopening of other industries.  He completed medical school at University of Southern California, residencies in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine, and a Masters of Science in Toxicology.

Sheila Vasan, MD, is a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. She has been practicing hematology and oncology in the San Fernando Valley for the past 10 years. As an oncologist with the Los Angeles Cancer Network she has vast experience in diagnosing and treating complex oncologic cases. She is also a Principal Investigator on several oncology clinical trials that focus on Breast Cancer and Lung Cancer.   She received her medical degree from the USC Keck School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA, and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Olive View-UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Michael Wolke, MD, is an Attending Physician in the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Emergency Department, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at USC’s Keck School of Medicine.  He graduated from Northwestern University, University of Illinois Medical School, and completed residencies in Dermatology at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, and Pediatrics at CHLA.

Alan L. Nager MD, MHA,  Director of Emergency & Transport Medicine at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and Professor of Pediatrics at Keck School of Medicine-USC.
